ACCORDING TO POLICE REPORTS, etc. Edward William Rhode died of a DRUG OVERDOSE on JULY 3rd, 2023. Defense Attorney and Esquire, Edward W. Rhode III, was well know all throughout OHIO and even more so with the the people on the LAKE ERIE ISLANDS ( KELLEY'S ISLAND, NORTH, SOUTH, and MIDDLE BASS, PELEE ISLAND, etc.)...Mr. RHODE was a member of an ELITE group of people and a very 'PRIVATE' Club aka RATTLESNAKE ISLAND. He was considered an Excellent Defense Attorney and represented many Drug Users, Dealers, and other Alleged Criminals over the years. He lived on the same street and several houses from the most crooked and corrupt Prosecutor in Ohio's long History - Erie County Prosecutor, Kevin J. Baxter. They were VERY GOOD friends and had all the same interest...wink, wink, nudge, nudge !  KJB along with Judge O'Brien were on Edward W. RHODE III famous BOAT with a young lady from Sandusky, Oh.  I wrote about the INCIDENT on this BLOG a couple of years ago. It's still there !!!
